Scope Art Fair Miami, 2011

Stephanie Hague July 7, 2014

In 2011, Pretty Offensive was sponsored by The Center (formerly The Scope Foundation) for a special project during Scope Art Fair in Miami.  The installation, which consisted of tit tops and penis pants, played with concepts of profanity. The goal of this project was to undermine it's offensive nature by pitting the harsher content against the more traditional application of knitting.  The show was picked up on PMc Magazine, Cool Hunting, and Juxtapoz.

Pretty Offensive

knitwear for the fashionably rebellious

welcome to pretty offensive, where ridiculous knitting reigns and nothing is safe from the sarcasm. playing with the delicate, traditional nature of knitting and more contemporary, crassness of the profane, pretty offensive aims to set phasers to stun with it's collection of art and wearables
